This painting, Her Earth, brings together the warmth of the earth and the energy of living things. Rose, rust, and ochre move through soft, layered passages, suggesting roots, petals, and forms still emerging. Through building up and carving back, I uncover earlier marks and let them become part of the painting’s history. For me, it holds something both tender and enduring—a feeling of being connected to the natural world.
