In this painting, Orange Mark, I follow the movement of color, allowing each gesture to suggest the next. A broad sweep of blue gathers around passages of deep navy, soft pink, earthy green, and yellow, while flashes of orange and red interrupt the flow. Layered paint, exposed marks, and wandering lines trace a journey of discovery. Areas of restless activity meet quieter spaces, giving the eye places to pause before moving on. For me, this work expresses the freedom of trusting an uncertain direction—and finding something unexpected along the way.
I invite the viewer to follow their own course through it.
