Inspired by my feelings of being lost at times... lost in my art practice, when I am in "the zone". My painting called Go Ask Alice reminds me of the Jefferson Starship’s surreal lyric—Alice when she’s ten feet tall—where perception expands. The painting moves between scale and sensation, suggesting a world where boundaries stretch, logic softens, and reality bends. Forms rise and fall, colors shift, evoking the disorientation and wonder of seeing the familiar from an altered height. I realized this after the painting was finished. It was not intended... but a surprise.
